Why Assessments?

Because Knowledge is Power...
Employers face a myriad of choices in the selection process of new hires. How is one candidate better than the next? Resumes and interviews can be misleading and are even less telling about the prospective employees' likelihood of success at the job. Our Employee Assessments provide critical information enabling employers to understand why their employees think and behave as they do, and if this behavior and attitude fits the job. Our Assessments allow employers to utilize relevant information in attracting the most perfectly matched candidates to the right positions while avoiding the costly mistakes due to ill-fit hires. This understanding leads to better allocation of human capital and maximizes the effectiveness of every employee. By using the appropriate assessment solutions, employers see tangible results in terms of increased productivity, reduced stress, tension, conflict, and a positive impact on the organization's bottom line. Equipped with knowledge about employees' profiles, employers are empowered to leverage this knowledge to increase organizational performance. After all, knowledge is power.

Employee surveys show:

·  56% of working people admit they have lied to their supervisors
·  95% of applicants will "exaggerate" to get a job

·
41% say they have falsified records
·
64% admit using the Internet for personal reasons during working hours
·
35% have stolen from their employers, by their own admission
·
31% abuse drugs or alcohol

Two of Three new hires will disappoint in the first year

·       Two of three employees would rather work somewhere else
·       Most hiring decisions are made in haste - during the first five minutes of an interview
·       One of three businesses are sued each year over an employment issue
·       Employee Turnover costs thousands of dollars for every departing employee
·      80%  of employee turnover is avoidable

Measurable, objective, quantifiable data to select hire and retain top performers

Research shows that if people are selected and placed in jobs that best fits their personality, ability and motivation, they not only outperform their peers but also stay longer at their jobs. So hiring the right fit talent increases productivity and reduces turnover! We provide hiring and selection training programs highlighting selection methods, interview techniques, on-boarding, and managing of top employees. In addition, our Job-Fit Profiling and assessment tools allow organizations to identify, select and place the right talent in the right positions, enabling higher productivity and easier training and transition efforts. These tools also help in placement, succession planning, management selection, and improved performance, by matching an individual’s thinking style, occupational interest and behavioral traits with the requirements of success at a job.

Our human resource management solutions are proven and deliver results. We measure the essential data employers need to make the best possible hiring, training, managing, and promoting decisions. Our assessment and evaluation tools are an invaluable and powerful resource. Our human resource management solutions and industry leading employee assessments will help your organization succeed!

Hiring and retaining top performers not an option, but a business imperative!
The most expensive problems companies deal with today can be solved, or at least minimized, with a better understanding of the people firms employ. By capitalizing on an individual's strengths, you can achieve more desirable results. People with tremendous potential are hired and promoted every day and put into jobs that waste their abilities.
Matching people successfully with the work they do is the key. When people feel competent, are interested in their daily duties, and have the opportunity to use their inherent talents, their productivity soars. Negative factors such as stress, tension, burnout, and conflict disappear, for everyone - peers, bosses and employees! There is more time to pursue personal and organizational goals. You facilitate organizational goals with personal goals. Getting the right people, maximizing their potential consistently becomes not only an option, but a business imperative.

Is your investment in employees protected?

You can be held liable for employees' behavior on and off the job
You must know the nature of the people you hire because their criminal behavior could cost your business millions of dollars. Every time you hire without practicing due diligence, you may be accepting liability for their actions - even when they are "off the clock."
You can be sued for illegal discrimination -
In the absence of objective data, how can you demonstrate a hiring/promotion decision was made objectively, without discrimination because of gender, race, religion, etc.
Résumé writers write great fiction - In a survey of recent college graduates, 95% said they would be willing to make a false statement in their résumés in order to get a job. Forty-one percent admitted they had already done so, according to a report in Nation's Business (May, 1999)
Testing is acceptable, even expected - As reported in Molding Systems (May, 1999, v57 i5 p56(1)), a survey found that 92% of job applicants accept testing as part of the job qualification process.
Employment Assessments offer a solution - Historically, employers depend upon résumés, references, and interviews as sources of information for making hiring decisions. In practice, these sources have been proven as inadequate for consistently selecting good employees.

Selecting an Assessment Provider
Before you make a decision to use employee assessments, ask the following of your assessment vendor:
§          What was the most recent date of your product(s) validity & reliability studies?
§
Can you send me a copy of these studies?  And a legal opinion manual?
§
Does your product measure the total person - Cognitive, occupational interest, personality and behavior?
§
How many different reports are you able to generate?
§
Are the results real-time?
§
Are there any other charges?  Training cost or certifications?
§          Tell me about your client support and training?  Any cost involved?
§          Will you be able to demonstrate how the product is working for me?  What kind of ROI reports can you provide?
§
Is your assessment multi-lingual, multi-cultural, and can it be given in other languages.  If so, how many?
§
How long does it take for results?
§
Do I need someone from your company to interpret the results?
§
Is proctoring required?
§
Is it customized for my company, position, department, manager, geography, or any combination?
§
Can it be taken over the internet or paper and pencil?
§          What else are the results used for?
